How Bux.to works

Bux.to is NOT a Autosurf, Multi-Level Marketing, Pyramid, Ponzi, Matrix or "Get Rich Quick" scheme.

Bux.to is a new innovative, international and FREE English based service that allows advertisers to reach thousands of potential customers by displaying their ad on our, "Surf Ads" page. A exact calculated percentage of all advertising revenue is paid to our members. Bux.to makes money via advertising, other advertising sources throughout the website as well as earning through direct sponsorship of other Bux.to members, just like a regular member does.

How you make money
You view websites in 30 second sessions via the "Surf Ads" page. Once the 30 seconds is up, you’ll either get a green tick sign or a red ‘X’. The green tick sign means you’ve earned $0.01 and as premium member $0.0125 for the visit and the ‘X’ means you have not earned money for the visit. You’ll get red X’s when you have more than one website from the "Surf Ads" page open. When this happens, you get no credit.

A valuable benefit to both the members and the advertisers is the repeat exposure that the advertiser gets. Whenever you click and view a website, you can visit that website again in 24 hours as long as the visit cap hasn’t been reached. That’s right! After 24 hours you can click and view the website again. This gives the advertiser optimal exposure by using "repeat advertising" and it further increases the members earning potential.

Earnings example (based on current averages)
» You click 10 ads per day = $0.10
» 20 referrals click 10 ads per day = $2.00
» Your daily earnings = $2.10
» Your weekly earnings = $14.70
» Your monthly earnings = $63.00

While we have no way of knowing how many ads will be available on a per week basis, we do know that Bux.to is growing rapidly and advertisers are discovering the true potential of our service. We’ve just started and our advertiser base is small so BE PATIENT! Over the next coming months you will see an increase in the ads which will only increase your earnings! This is not a get-rich-scheme or scam, but it can put some extra gas money in your pocket!

How does it work?
You view websites in 30 second sessions via the "Surf Ads" page. Once the 30 seconds is up, you’ll either get a green tick sign or a red ‘X’. The green tick sign means you’ve earned $0.01 and as premium member $0.0125 for the visit and the ‘X’ means you have not earned money for the visit. Can other people in my household join?
They must have a valid unique e-mail address and valid unique PayPal address/account to register with our program. As far as cheating goes, our software detects users who create fictitious accounts and use the same computer so if someone else in your household wants to join and will legitimately use their account; you shouldn’t be flagged for abuse.

Can I have more than one account?
No. There is no need to maintain more than one account. If you’ve lost your login information, you can request to have it sent to your e-mail address. If you are caught with more then one account open (we have a very strict auditing process before payments are sent) your account(s) will be terminated, your ip address(es) will be banned and you will not receive any earnings.

My network, school or ISP all use the same or randomly used IP addresses, can I join?
Yes, this is fine. The same general rule applies from the previous question.

How much money can I make?
We pay you $0.01 for each website you visit and $0.01 for each website your referrals visit. As premium member $0.0125 for each website you visit and $0.0125 for each website your referrals visit. There is no limit in the amount of websites you visit or referrals that you obtain. Your earning possibilities are virtually endless.

How do I refer others?
Use your unique referral code found within the user area "My Stats".

How can I cancel my account?
Inactive accounts are automatically cancelled after certain time.

Why I have to click twice to see the green tick?
Check your antivirus, antispyware/adware programs, your browser settings for cookies and java script acceptance. If this doesn’t work, try cleaning your cache or reboot your computer.

Why I have not received my welcome email or password request?
You need to make sure that mail from the bux.to domain is not being blocked, Try adding "mail@bux.to" to your address book.

I can’t see any ads!
If you see no ad links on the "Surf Ads" page but you DO see stats on the right hand side then you need to disable all antivirus and antispyware/adware programs. If this doesn’t work, try cleaning your cache, temp files, cookies, etc. If you’re still having problems after all of that, try changing or updating your browser.

My stats aren’t updating!
This is either because your browser is saving the page in it’s cache or you’re not waiting for the dollar sign to appear after the timer is complete. Try cleaning your cache, temp files, cookies, etc. If you’re still having problems after all of that, try changing or updating your browser.

I keep getting "Invalid verification code entered." when I try to register or login!
First, make sure you are correctly typing in the verification code. If you are typing in the correct code and still having problems then it’s something to do with your browser caching the previously used session image. Try cleaning your cache, temp files, cookies, etc. If you’re still having problems after all of that, try changing or updating your browser.

How often are the statistics updated?
Stats are updated immediately.

How do I get paid?
If you have at least $10.00 accumulated, you can click on your account balance within your stats area and it will submit your request. Currently, we only make payments via PayPal. We will soon be using other methods of payment.

When do I get paid?
You can request for payment once you’re account balance is at least $10.00. Your payment will be processed and issued via PayPal within 30 business days. You can only request one payment at the time.

What is PayPal?
PayPal is the payment processing solution that we use to pay members. Your PayPal address is the e-mail address you use to register with PayPal. You can get a free PayPal account at http://paypal.com.

Why did I get paid less then what I was owed?
If you have a business account with PayPal, they charge a 2.9% transfer fee plus an additional $0.30 base fee when you receive funds.

The FBI is kicking off the new year by starting an ambitious project to create the world’s largestBigbrotheriswatchingyoupostercardc102045
database of biometric information on people both in this country and abroad. According to the Washington Post the federal agency will award a 10 year contract next month that will significantly expand the amount and kinds of information they receive about an individual’s physical characteristics. While the FBI claims this new information is necessary for modern law enforcement, there is something extremely unsettling about the feds expanding from storing digital images of fingerprints and palm patterns to keeping tabs on iris patterns, face-shape data and perhaps even records of the way people walk and talk.

One of the concerns raised in the Post’s article is whether the FBI would be able to fully ensure that the data will be secure. If you thought having your driver’s license stolen was annoying, wait until a criminal steals your iris image. “Unlike say, a credit card number, biometric data is forever,” Silicon Valley insider Paul Saffo told the paper. “If someone steals and spoofs your iris image, you can’t just get a new eyeball.” The leadership at the FBI promises that the data will be safe, but there need to be specific safeguards put in place before this system goes into widespread use.

If you’re a traveler you’ve probably seen the use of biometric data in action. Recently the Department of Homeland Security has worked with private vendors to establish a registered traveler program which allows frequent travelers to speed through airport security after verifying a fingerprint or iris image.

The FBI’s proposed program comes at a cost to taxpayers of over 1 billion dollars, and was quickly approved by Congress with little fanfare. If everything works out the way the government hopes eventually a police officer making a traffic stop will be able to run a 10-fingerprint check on a suspect and quickly find out if that suspect is on a list of the most wanted criminals and terrorists. Or perhaps a detective can compare palm prints from a crime scene to those in the massive database. Clearly many people will have access to extremely sensitive information, and it remains to be seen whether the government can keep this data out of the hands of the criminals.

Keep your eyes on this story as we move into 2008, it will be interesting to see what how the average American feels about this groundbreaking program now that the details have been made public. Biometrics may be the future, but right now they offer more questions than answers.
